• Reminder: Inspired by the Alanis Morissette 1995 hit album, the Broadway show "Jagged Little Pill" stages at Keller Auditorium, through Nov. 20. The album, depicting a young woman's angst about life issues and relationships, included "You Oughta Know," "Head Over Feet," "Hand in My Pocket" and "Ironic."

In the story about a perfectly imperfect American family, Heidi Blickenstaff will reprise her role from the Broadway production as Mary Jane Healy, joined by Lauren Chanel as Frankie Healy, Chris Hoch as Steve Healy and Dillon Klena as Nick Healy. The cast also includes Jade McLeod as Jo and Allison Sheppard as Bella.

• Timberline has opened some slopes, and Mt. Hood Meadows is shooting for opening Friday, Nov. 25.

Skiers and snowboarders can ramp up their excitement at the industry event Snowvana, all day Friday-Sunday, Nov. 18-20, at the Oregon Convention Center.

• O'Loughlin Trade Shows puts on its Portland Holiday Market, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 17-20, at the Expo Center.

• White Bird Uncaged welcomes Shay Kuebler's Vancouver, British Columbia-based Radical System Art, and the world premiere of "Momentum of Isolation," 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 17-19, at PSU's Lincoln Performance Hall. Radical System Art fuses martial arts, urban street dance and contemporary movement.

The new work explores how our digital existence divides us and yet we find powerful ways to connect with one another. Kuebler began developing "Momentum of Isolation" in 2018 after learning that the UK had appointed a "Minister of Loneliness" to tackle the serious health effects of loneliness and isolation.

"Isolation is the greatest torture or pain that you can experience because it's not pain of the body or the mind; it's one of the spirit, it's one of the soul," said Kuebler, who plays the part of a man who works alone, speaking only occasionally to his single green plant and is surrounded by a chorus of performers as energetic as they are versatile.

• The push/FOLD dance company presents its fourth annual Union PDX Festival of Contemporary Dance at the Hampton Opera Center, Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 17-20. It features performances and master classes in West African, Afro-Brazilian, Bharatanatyam and contemporary ballet and dance. Featured performers include Portland choreographers Samuel Hobbs and Sweta Ravisankar. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18-19 and 4 p.m. Nov. 20.

• Andrea Parson, a star Portland dancer and Princess Grace Award winner, puts on "You Can't Be Serious," an evening of solo dance and storytelling that explores memories and scenes surrounding the loss of her sister.
