Kelly Cecil Anderson
Kelly Cecil Anderson, 79, of Aloha, OR, died from sudden cardiac arrest on May 10, 2022, while enjoying a day with his brother, Ken.
Kelly was born in Payette, Idaho, on April 21, 1943, and other than four early years in Dillingham, Alaska, lived most of his life in Oregon, graduating from Newberg High in 1961. After two years at Linfield College, he joined the Air Force and met and married Linda Armstrong while at Tech School in Texas. Separating from the AF after a tour in Thailand (during the Vietnam War), Kelly and Linda settled in Aloha, OR.
Kelly had an unusually inquisitive, creative mind and was attracted to electronics, computers, sales, food, teddy bears, roses, travelling, and talking with people. Active for many years in the Aloha Sunset Rotary, he also served three years as president of the Oregon Office Machine Dealers Association.
Kelly opened one of the first personal computer retail stores in Oregon. Kelly Data sold Kaypro computers and won numerous sales awards. Kelly later worked in computer and office machine sales, training, and maintenance. For several years he ran a direct mailing services business out of his garage.
Preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Vonnie Anderson, he is survived by his wife, Linda; his twin siblings, Kenneth of Salem, OR, and Karen of Apache Junction, AZ; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Kelly had the quality of being technically oriented and at the same time being a people person. He often said he wanted to make people smile. To know Kelly was to love Kelly. A private memorial service will be held at the Dundee Pioneer Cemetery.
