Ronald died at age of 86, surrounded by his close family, who love him dearly. Ronald was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Edward and Catherine Meier. Roanld enlisted in the Navy in 1955 and served until he retired honorably in 1975 at the rank of a Senior Chief Petty Officer. While serving in the Navy, Ronald met his future wife, Marsha (Wasson) Meier, and they were married on December 19, 1970 in The Dalles, Oregon at Saint Peter's Catholic Church. Ronald and Marsha have two children, Daniel and Jeffrey Meier. Following his retirement from the Navy, Ronald, Marsha and children moved to Oregon and lived in Gresham, Oregon. Ronald was a lifelong support, inspiration and protector of his children, wife and family. Ronald enjoyed fishing, camping and bowling and spending time with his family. Ronald was employed by Electro Scientific Industries as a Lead Electronic Specialist until his retirement in 1992. Ronald was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner at Saint Henry's Catholic Church in Gresham. Ronald is proceeded in death by his parents, Edward and Catherine, and siblings, Eugene, Robert, Lorraine, Marian and infant sister Rosemary.
