Woodburn Independent - Circulation Assistant

The Woodburn Independent has an immediate opening for a part-time circulation assistant. Duties include service of newspaper racks and dealer locations and delivery of newspaper bundles to youth carriers in rural communities. Approximately 16 hours a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, a good driving record and proof of insurance. We are growing and are currently seeking an outgoing, dynamic individual to join The Newberg Graphic and Woodburn Independent’s advertising sales team.  The position will serve a new sales territory that spans Woodburn and Newberg, and will spend an equal amount of time in both communities.  

We’re looking for a “people” person with a great personality and at least two years of sales experience, media sales preferred.  Someone with a proven record of sales success and who is not afraid of looking for new business.  You will need excellent interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, computer skills, and the ability to stay focused on success.  This individual must be a team player with a positive attitude.

Gresham Outlook - Graphic Designer (Part-Time)

The Gresham Outlook is looking for a part-time Graphic Designer (24 hours/week) to help design a wide array of newspaper advertisements, promotional materials, and publication layouts. The ideal candidate should be fluent in InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator on a Mac operating system, and should be familiar with the four-color-press print media. Job requirements include the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines each week, the ability to work with outside clients and in-house advertising representatives, the ability to work with a team of other designers, and should have strong organizational skills.
