LOOK: Hot rods displayed at 'Cars in the Park'
It's summer — and that means it's the season for cruise-ins, auto shows and tons of car culture.
But if you're truly a diehard gearhead, you'll want to check out "The Shape of Speed," an exhibit at the Portland Art Museum that opened last month.
The museum is featuring tons of displays and information about streamlined automobiles and motorcycles from the year 1930 through 1942. The exhibit closes for good on September 16, so you'll need to make the drive to 1219 S.W. Park Avenue in downtown Portland before then.
For "Streamlined Sunday: Cars in the Park," the museum hosted about 40 classic sports cars from the 1960s and earlier at the South Park Blocks right in front of the museum. Cars in the Park also kickoffs Keith Martin's Sports Car Market 30th Anniversary Tour.
Here's seven of the best hot rods we saw at Cars in the Park on Sunday, July 8:
1967 Alfa Romeo GTV
1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/C
1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster
1974 BMW 2002 TII
1957 Porsche 356 Carrera Speedster
1965 Morgan Drophead Coupe
