Two new startups join Jaguar Land Rover Tech Incubator in Portland
Jaguar Land Rover North America has announced that LISNR and PILOT Automotive Labs will join its Portland Tech Incubator, which seeks to promote new companies developing automotive and connectivity technologies.
LISNR is developing in-car connectivity products related to seat personalization, remote app pairing and keyless access. The company is also working to eliminate security risks related to automotive data transmissions. PILOT is developing technology to implement the latest driver assistance features such as forward collision warning and lane departure warning to existing vehicles.
Rihards Gailums, CEO of PILOT Automotive Labs said, "We are excited that our technology has been recognized by a leading premium car brand like Jaguar Land Rover. We believe that not only new, but also existing cars could be made smarter and safer."
The Jaguar Land Rover Tech Incubator provides each startup company selected with a variety of resources, including development support from the company's global engineering teams, direct investments, business mentorships, and six months of working space within the Portland research and development facilities.
Incubator General Manager, Danielle Alexander, said, "We're excited to spend the next six months working alongside these teams, and looking forward to seeing what comes out of the partnerships."
Applications for the next cohort to join the Tech Incubator program are now open. Startup companies working in automotive tech, mobility, or connected car technologies are encouraged to apply online at blog.jlrtechincubator.com.
