The Junior Bulldogs went 3-0 in pool play over the three-day tournament, beginning with a 44-29 victory over Canby in their first game Saturday morning. Woodburn followed with a 31-24 win over Wilsonville later in the day in their second game. The Bulldogs finished pool play Sunday by clawing back from an 11-point deficit against Clackamas to win 48-43 and punch their ticket to the championship game against the Prairie Falcons from Vancouver, Wash.

Although Woodburn went on to lose in the finals, the Fall Classic was a state-qualifying tournament that gave the Bulldogs a berth in a state tournament later this season (details were unavailable at press time). In the meantime, the Bulldogs move on to Sherwood this weekend for another tournament.
