Film on mountain-top removal is offered by Multnomah County Sustainability Film series

Multnomah County’s Sustainability Film Series presents “The Last Mountain,” a documentary about the fight against mountain-top removal techniques to extract coal, on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m.

The film is being offered at McMenamin’s Bagdad Theater & Pub, 3702 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland.

Admission to the film is free, though people are welcome to buy pizza, beer or other goodies at the theater and pub.

“The Last Mountain,” a film by Bill Haney, is a story about Appalachian activists taking on big coal companies. The film was an official selection of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
