The former Blackbird Coffee shop on the corner of Washington and Railroad streets will soon be home to Bank of Oswego’s Sherwood Business Banking Center.

The Sherwood Business Banking Center, which has been located on Roy Rogers Road since 2009, will open in its new location on Jan. 15.

The locally owned bank provides individualized banking and lending services to professionals and small businesses in the Sherwood area.

The move to the historic D.M. Pankhard Building, built in 1915, shows a level of commitment by the bank to promoting and sustaining economic growth in Sherwood, said bank officials.

“I am very excited about your (the bank’s) investment into Sherwood, especially in our historic Old Town,” said Sherwood City Manager Joe Gall.
