Portland police responded to the robbery on Harrison Street around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15.

Central Precinct officers scrambled to a U.S. Bank located at 410 Southwest Harrison Street near the Portland State University campus around 2:38 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, according to a news release.

Police say a man with a knife entered the bank and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash from employees, he apparently left the building without incident.

"The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 20s, five feet two inches tall, with a skinny build and a scruffy beard," a news release reports. "Witnesses also stated the suspect appeared to be hunched over during the robbery."

Police did not release any surveillance images of the suspect to the media.

Robbery Detail Detectives in Portland and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents have been assigned to this case and will continue the hunt.
