Have you looked into adult foster care?

Brought to you by Amanda Shields - Magnolia Innovative Senior Living - SENIOR CARE INSIDER -

MAGNOLIA INNOVATIVE SENIOR LIVING - Amanda ShieldsAdult foster care has been used to describe many different kinds of care. In fact, due to the many different names by which it is referred to and the lack of a national standard, adult foster care can be quite challenging to define.

In most cases, adult foster care refers to a private residence, often close to family or friends, where residents are able to retain their dignity and privacy in a comfortable, family-like setting. Residents receive personalized, individual care, and there are generally a wide variety of services available in this home-like setting.

Every home is unique, with its own distinct personality. For example, at Magnolia the foster home, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents with compassionate care. We believe that wellbeing encompasses physical health as well as emotional, social, and spiritual health, and our care philosophy reflects this.

Our residents are at their happiest when they remain as mentally and physically active as possible. Magnolia has a personal trainer in the home two to three times a week, as well as a music therapist and horticultural therapist available. The nutritious, home-cooked meals provided to residents are created from scratch using local organic produce and humanely-raised meat and dairy products.

With a high caregiver to resident ratio, 24 hour awake staff, and my 25 years of experience in the medical and nursing field, Magnolia stands out from other homes. To find out if Magnolia is a good fit for you, call us today at (503) 819-0308.
