Register for Shorty Sporty, Mini Campers camps
West Linn Parks and Recreation is taking registrations for the Shorty Sporty and Mini Campers camps now.
These camps are designed for children ages 4 to 6 to experience a traditional camp environment while in a half-day or full day format.
The Sporty Shorty camps are designed as an introduction to different sports activities with an emphasis on fun, exercise and learning to encourage the development of new skills in a non-competitive environment.
The Mini Camper camps are "mini" version of the popular Fun in the Sun Camp. The Mini Camps are offered half-days Monday through Friday and are based on the traditional day camp model where youngsters play and interact outdoors with other children their age. Mini Camps are held throughout the summer from 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Register for both camps to attend all day long. The fee for the session is $54 half-day or $108 for full day.
Earth Day Work Day — April 21
Join your neighbors for Earth Day 2018, which is planned to be the biggest volunteer day in West Linn. Register through the Park & Recreation website to volunteer at one of the four project sites.
Ever thought of Voice Acting?
You may have heard Lisa Foster on TV or radio commercials. You can hear her live as she illustrates how you can begin using your speaking voice for commercials, films and videos.
Foster will show you a unique way to cash in on one of the most lucrative full or part-time careers out there. This is a business that you can handle on your own terms, on your own turf, in your own time, and with practically no overhead.
This opportunity comes to West Linn on April 25, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Adult Community Center. This exciting and fun class could be the game changer you've been looking for at the small cost of $35.
