Lake Oswego's Kate Peters, Milwaukie's Logan Law win first-team all-state honors
They ran the fastest.
They set the most personal records. And they helped their teams win the most meets.
And in response, they — Oregon's best high school cross country runners — have been honored with Class 6A all-state recognition for the 2021 fall season.
Here's a list of the best runners from Clackamas, Lake Oswego, Lakeridge, Nelson, Oregon City, West Linn, La Salle, Milwaukie, Putnam, Wilsonville and Gladstone high schools who were honored this year, along with the boys and girls state champions for Class 6A, 5A and 4A.
CLASS 6A
Boys state champion: James Crabtree, sr., Sherwood
Girls state champion: Kate Peters, jr., Lake Oswego
Girls first team — Kate Peters, jr., Lake Oswego.
CLASS 5A
Boys state champion: Tyrone Gorze, jr., Crater
Girls state champion: Emily Wisniewski, fr., Crescent Valley
Boys first team — Logan Law, jr., Milwaukie
Boys third team — Mason Weisgerber, jr., Wilsonville
Girls second team — Noemi Lundgren, jr., Putnam
Girls third team — Ella Milanovich, so., Wilsonville
CLASS 4A
Boys state champion: Alexander Garcia-Silver, jr., Marshfield
Girls state champion: Emily Tubbs, so., La Grande
