College Notes

The Lake Oswego Review regularly prints lists of college graduates, academic dean’s list honorees, students of distinction and new college students. Content comes from parents and schools. Here are some of the most recent announcements:

George Fox University

Several students from Lake Oswego have earned a degree from George Fox: Carrie Erikstrup, Master of Arts in marriage, couple and family counseling; Jacqueline Bradford, Master of Arts in marriage, couple and family counseling; Michael Morales, Master of Arts in marriage, couple and family counseling; Daniel Tompkins, Bachelor of Science in elementary education; Richard Lee of Lake Oswego, Master of Arts in teaching; Shannon Gilligan, Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling; and Christopher Luttrell, Master of Arts in teaching.

Graceland University

Justin Kaminski of Lake Oswego has been named to the spring term president’s list, an honor requiring a 4.0 GPA.

Lincoln Memorial University

Elizabeth McGuirk of Lake Oswego earned a place on the dean’s list for spring semester.

Rice University

Margaret Cougill of Lake Oswego graduated May 17 with a Bachelor of Science in materials science and engineering.

San Jose State University

Rachel Janowicz of Lake Oswego was initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

St. Olaf College

Chloe Louaillier, a political science major from Lake Oswego, was among the more than 1,000 St. Olaf College students recognized May 2 for academic achievement at the annual Honors Day convocation, which is for students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher.

University of Puget Sound

William Rathje of Lake Oswego was initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

University of Vermont

Katelyn Stoner of Lake Oswego has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester. Stoner is a senior wildlife and fisheries biology major in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a GPA of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their college or school.

Wheaton College

Several students from Lake Oswego earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and were named to the dean’s list in the spring semester: Madeleine Brewster, Maxwell Luccock, Abigail Poindexter, Hannah Rogers, Hannah Anderson and Daniel Cummings.
