Tax Deductions that Matter
About a year ago, a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer and was scheduled for chemotherapy and the regime of a battle. Cancer puts up one heck of a fight; it's a living cell.
We are fortunate today that researchers, cancer experts and doctors in the field are beginning to look at cancer as possibly a chronic disease. More evidence is showing that cancer is in all of us, and it is what triggers it and what may make it recur that is important. From the Sequence Me/Sequence IT movement to many success stories of Stage 4 cancer survivors around the world, we truly can have hope. Those people fought to live, rather than lived to die, and we owe them tremendously for their sacrifice.
Businesses see the effect of cancer on their employees and their families on the financial front. This burden alone is most difficult; 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Sixty-seven percent of total costs of cancer are non-medical. When looking at tax deductions that matter…cancer research affects all of us. Donations can be made in a person's honor to those who have brought us hope.
