First home game set for June 17
The Hillsboro Hops will open their 2013 season with back-to-back series against their two biggest Oregon rivals, including a three-game stand in their new stadium against the Eugene Emeralds beginning on June 17.
Before that, the Hops will open the season with a three-game series against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in Salem beginning on June 14.
The Hops are the Hillsboro new Single-A baseball team. They will play their home games in a state-of-the-art minor league baseball stadium that is currently under construction in the Gordon Faber Recreational Complex.
The Hops will play 38 home games during their short season schedule that runs from June 14 until September 2. Home games will start at 7:05 p.m., except for Sunday games, which will start at 1:35 p.m. The Hops will play one weekday day game on Friday, July 26, against the Everett Aquasox in a game that will begin at 1:35 p.m. to accommodate the Hillsboro Air Show later that day. The Hops will also have a special Independence Day celebration following their home game against the Vancouver Canadians on Thursday, July 4.
