Grants support Oregon cultural organizations
The Oregon Cultural Trust is awarding a record $3.02 million in grants to 137 cultural nonprofits throughout fiscal year 2019 — including support for projects that will positively impact East Multnomah County.
Cultural Development Grants fund projects that address access, opportunities, creativity and preservation of cultural community events.
The Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon received $10,098 to support a two-day arts festival designed to invest in East Portland's artists without opportunities and build meaningful relationships between them.
The Multnomah County Library Foundation also got $5,072 to support Everybody Reads — a free program serving 444,000 library cardholders and students, promoting reading and discussing books at a community level.
