Hundreds of children flocked to the Gresham Public Library on Wednesday afternoon.

The Gresham Library kicked off its 2017 summer lunch program Wednesday with an elaborate game day that featured life-sized games, educational material, Bollywood dancers and even superheroes.

Hundreds of children flocked to the library for the afternoon, with many taking advantage of the free lunches on offer.

That portion of the event will take place daily on weekdays, Monday through Friday, through Aug. 25.

There also will be weekly entertainment on Wednesday afternoons, with the Reptile Man, Richard Ritchey, making an appearance at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 19.
