Road will be closed for repairs from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 11

The Historic Columbia River Highway will be closed west of the Stark Street Bridge in Troutdale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, for repairs related to a June rockslide.

Eastbound traffic will be directed around the slide on Southeast Woodward Road while westbound traffic will be directed over the Stark Street Bridge, said Don Hamilton spokesman for the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The closure will allow crews to complete repairs at the site where a major rockslide kept the road closed for nearly three weeks.

On Friday, crews will also work on the fencing along the rock wall, Hamilton said.
