New Year's Resolutions for Pets?
Goals aren't just for humans, our pets need some changes, too. Is your pet overweight? Are you? Both of you can benefit from a diet and exercise plan. Smaller portions can help us reduce and the same is true for Fido. Measure your pal's food every time instead of eyeballing it. Also consider using a lower calorie, higher fiber pet food. And take your dog for a walk! It will do both of you good to get outside in the fresh air for some exercise! Stop into Nature's Pet Market for a harness, leash or coat with reflective piping and patches to keep you both safe while walking in our Oregon winters.
Schedule a vet visit. This is the perfect time to catch a chronic problem, get booster shots or ask advice about behavioral issues. You can also update your pet's I.D.
Volunteer. If your pet is especially calm and friendly they may be able to visit nursing homes or hospitals. And you can volunteer at a shelter, or foster pets till they find a forever home. Adopt a rescue pet yourself and fill your life with more love.
Finally, spend time with your pet. It's a cold, hard world out there and nobody loves you like your furry friend. You will both be the better for it. Don't forget to stop in to the store for calming treats for the holiday parties and fireworks on New Year's Eve.
Happy New Year to you and your pet from Nature's Pet Market!
