Country Current, the U.S. Navy's country and bluegrass band, would soon stop by Estacada for a performance. Their summer tour included stops in Oregon, Utah, Washington and Idaho. "I don't know if I have a favorite song that we do, I love them all," said Daniel Stewart, musician first class and music director for the band. "We do a lot of fast-paced instrumentals with the bluegrass unit, and a lot of slower ballads with the country band. We do a lot of older country songs, from the 1940s and the 1950s, and even earlier, and a lot of the more modern country songs."
