A variety of Estacada area businesses will set up shop at the upcoming community trade fair.

Organized by the Estacada Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Reliance Connects, the event connects local residents and merchants. It's scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Harvest Market Plaza at Third Avenue and Broadway Street.

"(The trade fair is) a great way to give businesses a chance to be in front of the community," said Nancy Horton, Chamber of Commerce administrator. "(Residents can) meet local businesses, find out who they are and what they do, and see what's available locally."

Event participants will include Paul Strobel State Farm Insurance, Whitney Mobile Signs, Lori Fuller of Sun Connection Travel, the Estacada Development Association, the city of Estacada, Abundant Life Wellness, the Oregon Massage & Lymphedema Clinic, realtor Susan Wagner, the Winthrop Corporation, Gassman Appliance, Writing Solutions, Fearless Brewery, Estacada Body & Paint, Joe Kaufman Law Offices, Choices Insurance, Reliance Connects, Edward Jones Representative Bob Jones, US Bank, The Mason Jar and realtor Jan Lundy.

"If anyone has questions for businesses, it's a chance to ask them," Horton said.

The afternoon will feature complimentary hot dogs from the Chamber and live music from the Mossy Rock Ramblers. Additionally, students from Timberlake Job Corps will help at the event.

Horton thanked Harvest Market for allowing the Chamber to utilize the lawn in front of the store.

She believes the best part of the event will be "Promoting local businesses and letting the community know what's available in our area."
