The Gladiators racked up 412 rushing yards and scored seven rushing TDs in Thursday's Tri-Valley Conference home game

Gladstone's Dylan Farris rushed for a game-high 220 yards on 13 carries and scored on runs of 53 and 34 yards, pacing the Gladiators to a 49-8 Tri-Valley Conference home win Thursday over the Crook County Cowboys.

Damian Alvarado, Chandler Berks, Spencer Boyd, Ben Hill and Mason Sheehean also scored rushing touchdowns for the Gladiators (4-3, 2-1 Tri-Valley), whose ground game accounted for 412 of their 494 yards total offense.

Gladstone led 14-0 early in the second quarter when Hill and Farris scored touchdowns 17 seconds apart to push the lead to 28-0.

Crook County (2-5, 1-2) avoided the shutout when Ethan Cossitt caught a 65-yard touchdown pass from Brody Connell with 1:18 to play in the fourth quarter.

Cowboys' starting quarterback Colton Burkhardt completed 4 of 15 passes for 69 yards with three interceptions and one sack before giving way to Connell.

With the win, the Gladiators took over sole possession of second place and put themselves in position to earn a share of the league title with a win in Friday's 7 p.m. regular-season finale at Estacada (6-1, 3-0).
