Play golf to benefit Clackamas County's foster kids on Aug. 28
CASA of Clackamas County is planning is fifth-annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, Aug. 28, at the Oregon Golf Club, 25700 S.W. Petes Mountain Road, West Linn.
The tournament will benefit the only program in the county that recruits, trains and supervises volunteers who are authorized by the court to advocate for children placed in foster care due to abuse or neglect.
The pro-style event will begin at 11 a.m., when the range and check-in open, and the tournament will start at 1 p.m. After the tournament, at 6 p.m., guests will enjoy a BBQ dinner, along with a raffle drawing. Prizes will be awarded for long drives (men and women compete separately), hole-in-one and more. Mulligans will be available for purchase.
Sponsors include Omega Morgan, System Transport, Oxbo Mega Transport Solutions, Fred Meyer and Essex General Construction.
"We're excited to be back at the Oregon Golf Club again this year. It's one of the top courses around, and all funds raised through the tournament will help us to serve more children in foster care who need the steady presence of a CASA (court appointed special advocate) volunteer," said Bradley Dunkin, CASA of Clackamas County's immediate past board chair. "We encourage companies throughout Clackamas County to sponsor the event. It's a fun team-building activity and a great opportunity to promote your business."
