the editor: Are you proud to be an American? Are you proud of your flag? Does it give you that special thrill to see it waving in the air? Do you fly our flag for all to see your pride? If you have answered yes to these questions I have one more to ask you: does your flag reflect your pride or is it in poor shape? If your flag is faded, ragged around the edges and in poor shape you are sending the wrong message and it is time to “retire” Old Glory. If your flag is ready to “retire” you can take it to the Vet’s Club at 405 N Main. There is a special ceremony for disposing of an American flag. The members of the American Legion or the Veterans of Foreign Wars would be more than happy to take care of this in the proper manner as befitting the symbol of our country. Lyndell Little Prineville
