Damn! What to do???
Just saw an electronic billboard displaying, "Damn $3 a gram." How times change, yet remain the same. Marketing and advertising haven't. Is a $3 gram of pot a good deal? How's the quality? The vendor? It made me laugh and think about confused printer and cartridge customers.
With thousands of customers, there is a constant. Most buyers at the Staples of the world "are sold" on select printers based off the price. "This week's special pricing." And later buy replacement cartridges without knowing their options or understanding their true page costs. Just as the industry wants it. We often hear "it was on sale for 40% OFF." News Flash: That printer model is always "40% Off." For slightly more you can have a printer that actually meets your needs and has lower cost per page cartridges.
New printers come with Trial / Set up cartridge(s) ; "starter" versions of standard (low) yield cartridge(s). Most printers have "high yield" cartridges (HY); with a different / modified part number. "Mass merchants" such as Fred Meyer, Target, and Walmart rarely carry high yield cartridges.
The difference? High yield cartridges have more "pages" of ink /toner. Thus your page cost is 25% - 40% lower than standard (low) yield cartridges. Combo packs are equally deceiving.
At Cartridge Network, we have high yield factory remanufactured and compatible cartridges reducing your cost further by as much as 60%. We also carry high yield name brand (OEM) cartridges. We can show you the actual page cost. You will be surprised.
